Kicking Horse Coffee Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Starting the week off with a bang! It's finally time for one of my giveaways!

And it's one of the simple pleasures in life. One most of us look forward to every morning.  Coffee.

Kicking Horse Coffee was awesome enough to send me a can of their "Kick Ass" ("ass" as in donkey, you guys. Get your mind out of the gutter) coffee to review.  They will also be sending a can of their "Kick Ass" coffee and a KHC Gift Bag with brochure to one lucky reader!  More on how to enter after my review.

First a little bit about Kicking Horse Coffee and why I wanted to team up with them.  Kicking Horse Coffee is the creation of Elana Rosenfeld and Leo Johnson which started out in their garage.  The company certainly has grown since then and is Canada's #1 organic Fair Trade coffee.

In my opinion, it is important to support Fair Trade companies that are looking to improve the world around us.  Not just looking at the fiscal bottom line.  To learn more about Fair Trade click here.

Kicking Horse is also 100% certified organic. And honestly, I can really taste the difference.  It's not that the coffee has more body or more flavor... it's just that it has BETTER body and flavor.  I don't know how else to describe it.  It doesn't have that burned/bitter aftertaste and it is incredibly smooth.  This coming from a girl who normally stays away from dark roasts.  I also like that the coffee comes whole bean in a steel tin.  There's something about the scent and taste of fresh ground coffee that makes the morning so much better.

This coffee was also put to the test. It just so happened I was only running on 2 hours of sleep the morning I tried my Kicking Horse Coffee.  After only one cup, I started to feel more energized and awake than I do on 2 cups of my usual coffee. Yes! KHC saved my day.

After trying my first cup of Kicking Horse Coffee, I went online to see what other roasts they have. And I look forward to trying the Kootenay Crossing. A chocolaty flavor? Yes please!
Interested in finding your own yummy roast? Canadian customers can order on Kicking Horse's website while those of us here in the US of A can order on Amazon
