Having a baby brought on many changes for our household. Many great changes. It also brought on a need for us to stick to a budget. Before my son was born, we had what I call a "loose budget". We weren't living the life of the rich and famous, but we went out to eat a lot, went on vacations often, and bought little items we wanted when we wanted.
Now we have more of a firm budget which often requires me to become creative with dinner when it's getting close to "grocery day." I love to buy Knorr's Side Dishes because they're easy, they're tasty, and they're inexpensive. I have a ton of them in my pantry now because they were buy one get one free a couple of weeks ago at the grocery store.
Here is a recipe I ended up throwing together with what we had in the house and it actually ended up being a pretty tasty dish!
Oh... and it's a crock-pot recipe
3 to 4 frozen chicken tenderloins
1 packet of Knorr's Creamy Chicken flavored rice
1/2 packet of frozen vegatables ( I used mixed veggies- carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower)
1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 1/2 cups of water
Mix all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours.
It ends up being a warm comfort dish. Comparable to turkey and stuffing.
