In love with my Slow Cooker!

My son is awake as I write this (entertaining himself for the moment). So this may have to be a quick entry. So let's get to it.

I know it may be "old fashioned" but I LOVE my Crock Pot!!!! It's the only way I am able to make fresh, wholesome dinners right now. My son only naps in 30 minute increments and needs constant one on one attention so I don't have time to stand at the stove cooking. And when I do get a little bit of time, standing in front of a hot oven is not how I want to spend it. Momma needs a little time to recharge and refresh too!

This is why they crock pot is PERFECT. I just take 5 minutes to get all the ingredients together, throw them in, and then set it and forget it. And when it's dinner time all I have to do is serve and eat! I recently purchased this smaller crock pot on Amazon. I should be getting on sometime this week. I'm so excited! I will no longer have to lug out my 6 quart (amazing) crock pot to cook a meal for two people.

Tonight I'm making applesauce pork chops. We'll see how they turn out but they do smell yummy already! I used this recipe from "A Busy Mom's Slow Cooker Adventures." Pinterest is also my go-to for Crock Pot Recipes.

Baby has started to fuss. Time to go!

  1. How do you like your new crock pot? I think one reason I don't use mine a lot is because it's massive and very heavy. A smaller one is a great idea!

    1. I love it! It's so much easier to clean! I've been looking for those Reynolds Slow Cooker liners but they're always out of stock at the grocery store. Can you imagine simply throwing out a liner and being done with clean up?! Sounds amazing!
