June Obsessions!

Its that time again!  Products I fell in love with over the past month are listed below.  Only one mommy product this month!

CHI Keratin Silk Infusion
I know I've discussed this one before but I just fell in love with it all over again as I started using it before using the straightener on my hair.  Makes my hair silky and shiny!

CHI Deep Brilliance Hydration Moisture Binding Shampoo

Speaking of shiny, this shampoo has made such a dramatic change on the look and feel of my hair that I can't believe I haven't used it sooner.  I do notice I have to use my toning shampoo more often since using this CHI product, but its well worth it.

Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor

Full review coming soon!  Made for sensitive skin, this razor gives me a super close shave without irritation!

theBalm's Balm Voyage Palette

Since I love their 'Nude Tude Palette, I finally decided to start using the Balm Voyage palette I've had in my makeup drawer regularly.  Its especially great for bright Summer looks and I've also used it for smokey eye looks.

COVERGIRL's Ready Set Gorgeous Liquid Foundation

I now switch between this foundation and the Stay Fabulous 3 in 1.  These are the only two foundations I have used regularly in several months. Love the flawless look, easy application, and of course, NO BREAKOUTS!  (PS. Win a chance to try it for yourself HERE)

CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Concealer

While I do still use Maybelline's 24/7 concealer from time to time, I find myself grabbing for this one more often.  I like the smooth creamy texture of this concealer.  It is also very easy to blend.

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser

While I do love my Spearmint Cleanser, I wanted to find something I could just grab in the stores instead of buying online.  I was a little skeptical of this product (since I havent had much luck with Neutrogena in the past)  but I LOVE it.  It works just as well as the Spearmint cleanser and is available at my local grocery store.

Sesame Street Best of Friends

This is my ONE Mommy Obsession of the month.  And its a pretty good one.  My son is mesmerized by this DVD.  So much so that we watch it daily.  Its all songs so that makes it tolerable (I've even developed my own favorite scenes.)

Get #InstaGlam For a Night Out

I have been looking forward to doing this post for awhile now.  Mostly because in order to do this post, I would get to have a night out with the hubby!

Now very rarely do I wear a full glam look, so I wanted to get Katy Perry's #InstaGlam look using COVERGIRL products for this special occasion.  I love these products  mostly because they provide a flawless look in very little time.  They also, in my opinion, have the same quality and lasting power of much more expensive luxury and boutique products.  AND - they don't make me break out.  So yes, COVERGIRL has become my go-to for face makeup.

Now lets get to it!  Here is my before picture.  A clean face with zero make up and a light moisturizer.  Are you loving my messy mom bun?  That is typically how I keep my long hair out of the way day to day.

But for a night out, I get to let my hair down (literally) and have a little fun with my makeup. Normally I only use my tried-and-true makeup for a special night out.  But since I have so much confidence in COVERGIRL at this point, I used the Ready. Set. Gorgeous Concealer, Liquid Foundation, and Power for the first time.

I was not disappointed!  The coverage is spectacular!  I love that its oil free and I am especially happy that the foundation is an "all in one."  This means no need for that layer of primer before putting on your makeup.  Not only did this save me some time, but it also made me feel better about not putting layer upon layer of product on my face.  And yes, it did last all night.  Even through the Florida heat and humidity.

I applied the liquid foundation with a makeup sponge.  Then applied the concealer with the wand and blended with my finger (because I'm oh-so-professional) and set it all with the Ready. Set. Gorgeous Powder.   It literally took MAYBE 3 minutes. Awesome!

Products I Am Using Now

Skin by Ann Webb - Skin Organics Spearmint Tea Exfoliating Cleanser

I stopped using the Olay wash because it left a little bit of a soapy film.  I started using the Spearmint Tea Cleanser instead and have had great results.

Let's be honest... There are A LOT of instances where runway looks do NOT translate well to everyday use.

May Obsessions

FINALLY have my May Obsessions ready for you all!  I know its been awhile since I've done a video and I promise there is one coming soon.  But for now enjoy this list of beauty, fashion and mommy products that I fell in love with last month.

1.  Essie Naughty Nautical

Swatch by

I love this color for Summer.  Lately so many turquoise polishes have had hints of mint or baby blue in them.  I love that this one is just a great, true shade of turquoise.

2. Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer With SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin

This moisturizer is light, non greasy, and the sunscreen doesn't burn.  Plus, this is one of Olay's more affordable products at under $6/bottle.

3. Anytime Tank from The Mint Julep Boutique

The Mint Julep Boutique

I love this tank! Its comfortable, bright, and versatile. Super cute and cheery!

4. Forever 21 Tribal Maxi Skirt

I love this skirt and it has become my comfy, yet stylish Summer skirt.  Its light weight, flattering, and goes with different looks.

5. Garanimals

This is my favorite clothing line for kids.  Its affordable, they launder well, and they have some really cute stuff.  Walmart also sells this line.
